We are committed to sustainable farming practices

The last 5 generations of Deventer's have been farming on the Vredehoek Farm in Montagu (South Africa) since 1921, which we rented until we finally bought in 1923. We are committed to continuing a lasting legacy for our children. When  your family is going to inherit the farm, it becomes absolutely essential that you care about the environment, and that you teach your children to care for the Earth as well.

This is why we practice things like natural plant reproduction, rotational crop planting, reducing monocultures, beekeeping and offering beekeeping services. When caring for your own hives, you need to be committed to the survival of our pollinators.
